Ben Durkin

Ben Durkin - Music and Original Concept

Ben was born in Burnley, Lancashire. Having a keen interest in music and musical theatre in particular, he learned to play the piano from an early age. Guy Fawkes - The Musical represents Ben’s first professionally composed show, an ambition he held ever since seeing "Sunset Boulevard" in London in 1993. In 2015 he released a 21 Track Concept Album "Guido - The Gunpowder Plot" which formed the basis of the full stage musical.

Terry Newman

Terry Newman - Book & Lyrics

Terry is an award winning playwright and scriptwriter, an author and lyricist, and a former university lecturer in scriptwriting. He has written extensively for the stage, radio, TV and film and in 2016 was part of the ‘Chasing Robert Barker’ writing team, which won the ‘Best Action Feature Award’ at the UK National Film Academy Awards.

His lyrics, which have featured on the BBC, have been integral to much of his own theatrical work and his songs feature in the ‘Bimmi Boo’ children’s animation series. He is a writer and lyricist for the world’s first interactive emusical ‘Puss in Boots’ for Windy Press, Chicago and the award-winning game ‘Qinoto’ from Studio Flip. His first full-scale musical ‘Mile High’, co-written with composer Mike Hume, was staged at the Lost Theatre, London in 2013. In 2018 he wrote the book for the musical ‘The Resurrection Show’ for Canadian composer David Alter, which is now available as a novel. He has recently completed the book for the one-woman musical ‘Deep in the Forrest’ for the American soprano Rachel Hyman.

Published by Harper Voyager, his debut novel ‘Detective Strongoak and the Case of the Dead Elf’ was a #1 Kindle Epic Fantasy Best-seller’ in the USA.

Dave Rolleston

David T Rolleston - Additional Lyrics

David is a lyricist, composer, vocalist, voice actor and musician. Based in Japan since 1994 he hails from Wellington, New Zealand.

David collaborates with music artists, producers & production companies worldwide. Able to draw from his extensive performance, stage & production experience, he offers his collaborators in depth creative input. From developing original concepts to music composition, lyric writing, vocal performance demonstrations and stage presentation, he helps his collaborators reach their goals.

Currently David is a contributing vocalist & voice actor on a range of English Language teaching aides at the English Access School, Osaka.

Mike Saunders

Mike Saunders - Orchestrations

Mike is a highly experienced music producer and mixing engineer, arranger and orchestrator with extensive experience across and wide range of music genre from pop, rock and musical theatre through to the classics and jazz. He works with both solo and group artists and for TV stations including BBC and ITV. Over the years Mike has been involved in writing, arranging, orchestrating and producing many new musical theatre scores and songs.
